Perugia
is a strikingly beautiful hilltop town of Etruscan origin. It is the regional capital of Umbria, one of the finest parts of Italy. Assisi, Bevagna, Montepulciano, Spoleto, Todi are all within 50 km. The four festival venues are all historic buildings located in the pedestrianised town centre, including the Teatro Pavone, an 18th century theatre built in the classic Italian style with 4 horseshoe-shaped levels of private boxes.

All festival events are open to the public free of charge. However, please note that for each event the audience will be allowed in on a first-come-first-served basis. The festival organisation cannot guarantee that everyone wishing to enter will be able to do so. Therefore, if you are particularly keen to see a certain event, it would be wise to arrive in good season to avoid disappointment.

Accreditation is available for journalists wishing to follow the festival in person. The accreditation will guarantee a place in the audience even if the event is full. Please fill in the form under Press Accreditation, main menu.
