Competition

The award, open to Italian university students of any subject, is dedicated to the memory of the Italian journalist Enzo Baldoni, kidnapped in Najaf, Iraq on 21 August 2004 by a militant Islamic group. Following an ultimatum to Italy to withdraw all its troops within 48 hours, he was executed. The precise date and place of his death have never been established. His body has never been found.
